Television shows often portray household pests as lovable, cuddly creatures, but most homeowners know that those depictions are inaccurate. Cartoons like “Tom and Jerry” conveniently leave out the aspects of mice’s behavior that makes them undesirable roommates. They scrounge for food, contaminating it with germs. They leave their droppings all over the floor and cupboards. In short, they’ve got to go.

In order to evict freeloading mice and other pesky vermin, you’ll need to up the ante from a technological standpoint. Mouse traps are inhumane and ultimately ineffective. You might ensnare a few rodents with the lure of peanut butter or cheese, but eventually the others will learn from their comrades’ mistakes. An electronic pest repeller emits ultrasonic frequencies that are intolerable for a mouse or rat. Mice will be sent scurrying far, far away, and you’ll be able to return to a pest-free life.

Your pet stayed by your side throughout his entire life. Now you’re devastated that he has passed away and that he won’t be by your side anymore. But you can still keep the memory of your pet close by storing his remains in a cremation urn. A subtle, decorative urn can be displayed in your home to honor your pet for years and years.

Pet cremation is often a less expensive alternative to pet burial. A cremation urn can be made of wood or other material and custom crafted to honor your pet specifically. You can even add a personalized plaque to commemorate your pet’s name, birth date and death date. Your pet would be happy to know that you chose to keep them near you for many years to come.
